"FENTANYL: Fake and Fatal. Know the Risks, Save A Life." 2024 Youth Video Contest

The Napa Opioid Safety Coalition (NOSC) is calling all Napa County youth and young adults up to age 26 to produce a short video (30 - 60 seconds) to educate their peers and the community at large about the dangers of fentanyl, the risk of fake pills made to look like prescription medications, related personal impacts in your life or your community, and/or healthy solutions to related mental health challenges and peer pressure. Use your creative storytelling and video editing skills to make an impact in our community!

Download and sign Consent Form(s) to include with your video submission.

 Contest Entry Form 

Submit your completed Contest Entry Form by November 15, 2024.

Winners will receive the following cash prizes:

First Place - $300

Second Place - $150

Third Place - $50

Prizes will be awarded at the Cameo Cinema Red-Carpet Celebration on Monday, December 16, 2024. If winning contestants are unable to attend, prizes will be mailed by Friday, December 20, 2024. The total amount of cash prizes will be divided equally amongst members of a winning team (if applicable).

*A prize may be subject to forfeiture in the event that (1) a winning individual or team is not present at the Cameo Cinema Red-Carpet Celebration event AND fails to respond to the email notification by December 16, 2024; (2) email notification of the award is returned as undeliverable; (3) the prize remains unclaimed; (4) a winning individual or team is unable or unwilling to accept any part of the prize for any reason; (5) a winning individual or team fails to comply with the Official Rules, Terms and Conditions; or (6) a winning submission is determined to be ineligible.

Cameo Cinema Red-Carpet Celebration

All entries will be screened and recognized at a Red-Carpet Celebration event on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Cameo Cinema Movie Theater in St. Helena. Youth and young adult filmmakers are invited to attend with their guests to celebrate their creative public service announcement (PSA) videos to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl. All submissions will be previewed before announcing the winners.
